Open letter re: artificial learning vs. artificial intelligence

The object of this open letter is threefold: (1) to summarize the current state of artificial intelligence; (2) to address the widespread misunderstanding of artificial learning versus intelligence among prominent computer scientists and chatbot-makers; and (3) to explain how the CRS is uniquely positioned to develop true human-level artificial intelligence with its latest project – AngieOS – the world's first and only self-updating, self-aware artificial general intelligence operating system.

OMNIKA Foundation announces formation of Advisory Board

The CRS is proud to announce that the OMNIKA Foundation has established an Advisory Board in order to help execute its mission of digitizing, organizing, and making freely available all the world's mythological contents. The first four members of OMNIKA's Advisory Board include Dr. Matthew J. Suriano, Dr. Peter Z. Revesz, Dr. Anna Lisa Derr, Orin Hargraves, and Marcel Kuijsten. Project launch–PsychLing

The CRS is proud to announce the launch of its sixth project: PsychLing. Built upon the principles of Psycholinguistic Mechanics, this project is a comprehensive theoretical framework for analyzing human behavior in the form-factor of writing. The website will contain documentation in the form of articles that will explain the theoretical approach, define important terms and concepts, and demonstrate the utility of various applications via methods. This project will hopefully provide a simple albeit robust system for interpreting the psychological aspects of any piece of writing.

Project launch—eHammurabi

The CRS is proud to announce the launch of its third project: eHammurabi. The single-page website lets you browse the legal statutes found in the Law Code of Hammurabi. For each item, we provide images of the cuneiform inscription, transliteration, normalization, and an English translation. This project will hopefully accomplish a few research objectives. First, we hope to analyze the laws with respect to their psychological significance. Second, we hope to invite others to contribute similar digital humanities projects that have been difficult to compile.

The CRS is proud to announce the launch of its second project: Allo. Alloαlpha lets you browse dictionary entries and definitions for dead ancient languages. This project will hopefully accomplish a few research objectives. First, we hope to understand the role that language has in forming, changing, and interacting with human consciousness. Second, by taking a structured data approach, we hope to quantitatively analyze the similarities and differences between some of the world's oldest languages. Third, we hope to provide a modern and user-friendly means by which casual readers can dip into dead ancient languages. Our first language will be Latin, and probably followed by ancient Greek, classical Sumerian, Sanskrit, and then others.

Future project announcement—Allo

Today, the CRS is announcing its intention to launch a new project—Allo. Allo will be a modern and user-friendly dictionary for dead ancient languages like Latin and Sumerian. While we cannot share much else about this project at the current moment, we feel confident that it will assist greatly in our understanding of how humans developed consciousness.

The CRS is proud to announce the launch of its first project: OMNIKA. OMNIKAαlpha lets you search the world's mythological stories through summaries, artifacts, and translations. This project will hopefully accomplish a few research objectives. First, we hope to understand the mentality of humanity's first written records. Second, by taking a structured data approach, we will be able to analyze these powerful stories from a quantitative standpoint—something that has probably never been done before (to our extent). Third, we hope to promote further research and analysis by the scholarly community. Collecting all of this data will likely take several years. At some point, and in line with the project's mission, OMNIKA will hopefully become the world's largest digital library of world mythology. Because of the sensitive nature of this project's content, we have decided to firmly establish core operating guidelines to ensure that our work is used for good.

Today, we are announcing the formal launch of the CRS and our website: conscious dot ai. The Consciousness Research Society (CRS) is a computer science research initiative focused on the development of artificial general intelligence (AGI). We have decided to take a unique approach that differs from other companies and individuals. Mainly, we believe that by better understanding the origin, nature, and mechanics of human consciousness, we will be able to build next-generation artificial intelligence. We strongly endorse using an interdisciplinary approach and freely share our work through online tools (projects).
